A LITTLE ABOUT ME
I started playing the guitar in 1987 and found it a fascinating instrument to play. I learned it fairly quickly and started playing in bands in the local area. Work started to impact on my ability to commit to playing live and my passion, and I took a short break up until 2009, when I suddenly had more free time. Renewing my passion, it became apparent how much pleasure is gained from watching someone develop and succeed.
Having been made redundant a few years later, I took the plunge to make music tuition my career, and that’s when Ron's Guitar Tuition was born.
In my experience, it is never too late to pick up the guitar again. Get together with other musicians, or put a backing track on and set your soul free with the music inside. Having something in your life that is for enjoyment and lets you escape away from the stresses and strains that modern life throws our way. Having that bit of me-time is very important for our mental health in this modern-day world of work, eat, sleep, and repeat.
LESSON AVAILABILITY
-
Beginners’ classes for Junior and Adult guitar learners for those new to playing the guitar

-
Group class places are available for acoustic and electric guitarists to boost your guitar playing in the right direction. Although not suitable for everyone, my experience has shown that students improve faster in groups than in one-on-one lessons due to the interaction with other students.

-
Due to demand, there is a waiting list for adult one-to-one lessons in the evenings. If you are interested, please get in touch to get your name down for when a time slot becomes available. There are a few places during the day for adult one-to-ones.
