Beginners Class FAQ
Where is the venue?
The Venue is Meeting Room 11 at the Rothes Halls. The room is upstairs from reception. Turn right through the gallery and the double doors at the end. The room is on the right-hand side.
How much experience do I need?
None. The beginner’s class is aimed at those with little to no experience playing the guitar. If you are not a complete beginner, get in touch using the contact information below to discuss further.
What do I need to bring?
You need to bring your guitar and a plectrum if you wish to use one.
Is it Electric or Acoustic?
The beginner’s class covers both acoustic and electric as the learning is the same for both at the beginning. Ongoing classes are segregated into separate instruments.
How much does it cost?
The cost is a £10 deposit for the introduction class. This is refundable if you decide not to attend the beginner’s 10-week programme. The cost for the ten weeks is £165 minus your £10, which leaves you £155 to pay.
Why do I have to pay a deposit for the “Free” introduction lesson?
I have had to introduce the deposit due to people failing to attend the free introductory lesson. This will be returned if you decide not to participate in the programme.
How do I pay?
Payment is for the total amount upfront. However, I am offering three months interest-free with Klarna. Payment can be made via card at the introductory lesson, or I will send a link for Stripe online payment, including the Klarna option to pay interest-free over three months.
How long does the programme last?
The programme lasts for ten weeks and covers a lot of material. There will be guidance on how and what to practice for the most benefit.
What material will I get?
The material will be stored in a google drive folder which you will have access to at any time once registered for the class. It contains practice exercises, training songs, famous songs to play along with, and guides on how to practice.
